No stopping Tigers – St Anthony’s claim sixth straight win-Trinidad Guardian

Runaway league leader St Anthony’s recorded a 3–0 away win over St Augustine Secondary, yesterday, thanks to a brace from top scorer Kwesi Allen, who helped seal a sixth straight win in the BGTT Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) at St Augustine Ground.

Following a goalless first half, St Anthony’s, missing a few key players, stuck to the task to eventually win by a comfortable margin. Soon after the break, Adriel Kerr gave St Anthony’s the lead, before Allen smashed the double with goals midway through the second half and close to the final whistle.

With the win, St Anthony’s holds a five point advantage over second-placed St Benedict’s which leaped over St Mary’s. St Benedict’s dropped Fatima College 3–1, while St Mary’s played to a 1–1 draw against Carapichaima. The Saints remain unbeaten after six matches, but recorded as many draws as wins this season.
