The Spelling Bee Competition has been used around the world in schools to improve spelling and reading fluency. At St. Anthony’s College success in sports is great, but academic excellence is also a mark of success. Our youth today face many challenges and having such a competition would be a great initiative.
It’s against this background that Mrs. Jael Jones, English Teacher and the English Department, introduced the College’s first Spelling Bee competition in 2017 to challenge our students in educational and intelligence competitiveness, improve their vocabulary and enhance their overall literacy.
