2013 Career Day

St. Anthony’s College Career Day Shines Brightly

On May 24th 2013 St. Anthony’s College hosted it 2nd Annual Career Day, which targeted Form 3 students of the College as they make the important decision of choosing their O’ Level subjects. Their parents and guardians were also present they make this important step in their lives.

Present were Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited, Trinidad and Tobago Defense Force, University of Trinidad and Tobago, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Tourism, Hi-Lo Food Stores, Telecommunication Services of Trinidad and Tobago, Anthony P. Scott & Company Limited, CruiseInn Hotel and Yachting Center, Institute of Broadcasting Careers, Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission.

The Career Day targeted Form 3 students of the College as they make the important decision of choosing their O’ Level subjects as well as provided them with much needed career guidance. The companies and organizations were able guide the students in the subjects that were needed to get on a career path and answer any questions the students posed. These organizations presented a wide range of career choices such as the military and other arms of the protective services, hotel management, radio and television broadcasting, insurance, telecommunications, graphical art and design, brand management and product sales.

The Institute of Broadcasting Careers through Mr. Percy Parker-Williams, a past student of St. Anthony’s College and a Sound Engineer, provided a number of intern scholarships to qualifying students. Additionally, Director of Formation, Father Ashton Pierre C.S.Sp., was present to share his experience, guidance and words of wisdom to the Form 3 students.

The Principal and Staff of the College, parents and guardians as well as their sons and wards of Form 3, wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Mr. Ronald Marcelle (Dean of Form 3), a group of supportive teachers, the companies and organizations-all of whom made this event a success.
